On our way from Wyoming back to California, we spent the night in Idaho Falls and came across this old sign. We couldn’t find out how old, but according to a waitress in a restaurant nearby, it has been there “for ever.”

We found an online document (visit link) that dates the founding of the "Consolidated Wagon & Machine Co.” back to 1902. Also, the Utah State University Library (visit link) has the accounting books for the company until 1907. I guess we can assume that the sign was painted some time between 1902 and 1907.
