This plaque is located at the municipal museum of Ascona, in the main street inside the historic center of town. It tells a piece of history of this place that is not found in any tourist guide.

The plaque says: "lode eterna al pio sacerdote Don Pietro Pancaldi che questa casa ove nacque visse morì legò con ogni suo bene al comune di Ascona per l'asilo infantile 1895"


In English: "Eternal praise to the pious priest Don Pietro Pancaldi that this house, where he was born, he lived and died, was bequeathed with all its wealth to the town of Ascona for an orphanage 1895"
