The Norrköping Central Station building was built in 1866, by Architect A. W. Edelswärd and Builder Carl Th. Malm.

Norrköping Central Station is located on the Southern Main Line, which runs from Katrineholm to Malmö. Today high-speed X 2000 trains travel at 200 kilometres per hour (120 mph) for large parts of the way.
