#107 is "Lake Junaluska Assembly Grounds". Lambeth Inn, the central retreat facility, was built in 1921. The facility overlooks a large 250 acre lake and the mountains for an excellent view.

Per the NRHP application, "The Lake Junaluska Assembly was first projected in 1908 when the Laymen's Missionary Movement of the Methodist Episcopal Church South resolved that the church should have an assembly ground.. for the gathering together of our forces at stated times. The first conference was held at Lake Junaluska in 1913." Later the lake was filled and more infrastructure added.
Type of marker: Numbered
