On the "European Route of Brick Gothic" in northeastern Germany, near the old Hanseatic city of Rostock, is the Bad Doberan Minster, the gothic church of the former Cistercian monastery, that was build in the 13 century.
The minster is known as "The Pearl of the North German brick gothic" and is considered the most important medieval building in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
