The only zinc headstone in the Wike Cemetery along the Tuckaseegee River. The inscription reads: W.M. Wike / Born July 11, 1848 / Died May 1, 1904 / At Rest.
Mr. Wike appears to have been a farmer by the figures of a sheaf of wheat (front), a dove (left), a plow (right), and ear of corn (reverse).
