Vi kender alle Solen. Det er vores stjerne, det største objekt i vort solsystem og kilden til lys for os alle hver eneste dag.
Solen i Skive er formmæssigt inspireret af den faktiske sol og af bronzealderens Solvogn. Ideen bygger på det faktum, at Jorden og dens liv eksisterer i kraft af solen og vil ophøre med at eksistere, når solen brænder ud. Men det er også den inspiration, der ligger i endnu et forår at opleve, hvordan alt liv spirer, gror og fester ved lysets tilbagekomst. Alt suger til sig af lyset.
We all know The Sun. It is our star, the largest object in our solar system and the very reason we all have light every day.
The Sun in Skive was inspired by the actual sun and by the Chariot of the Sun of the Bronze Age. The idea is based on the fact that Earth and life on Earth exist thanks to the sun and will cease to exist when the sun burns out. But it is also the inspiration that you get by experiencing another spring and seeing how life germinates, grows, and celebrates at the return of the light. Everything thrives in the light.
