St. Stephan's has been around for a thousand years, but the church building only dates 1955 as it was totally destroyed during WW II.

There are several markers in a niche at the outside of the choir of this rebuilt church. One looks to be an older marker, one is a newer marker with more recent dates, and one lists the names and dates on persons from many years ago and might be a replacement for ones destroyed during the war.
