Blansko is small town in the South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic. You can find here a several engineering companies with a rich history (visit link) (visit link) .
Some companies are particularly specialized in the production of small and large water turbines and hydro-mechanical equipment.

You can see one of the old turbine at the entrance gate of Blansko Chateau. The turbine was constructed in the late 19th century, then used in Brno-Pisárky waterworks for sixty years. The turbine was taken out operation in 1967.
