The Igreja de Nossa Senhora das Dores, build in 1728, stands in the centre of Criação Velha, a district of Magdalena. Next to the church is the small cemetery of the community, surrounded by a white washed stone wall with a beautiful entrance gate. On it are about 80 graves.
