Weggedoken in het heuvelend Haspengouwse landschap midden in de fruitstreek straalt de abdij "Mariënlof" vrede en rust uit. De abdij wordt sinds 1822 bewoond door de cisterciënzerzusters, als voortzetting van de abdij Woutersbrakel in Waals-Brabant. In een zijgebouw op het binnenplein van de Abdij Colen vind je de Fruitsite Colen, een klein museum over de geschiedenis van de fruitteelt.

Tucked away in the hilly landscape off the Haspengouwse region exudes the abbey "Mariënlof" peace and tranquility. The abbey is occupied by the cisterciënzerzusters, as a continuation of the abbey WoutersBrakel in Walloon Brabant since 1822. In a side building in the courtyard of the Abbey you find the Fruit Site Colen, a small museum about the history of the fruit.
