Made in Boston, Massachusetts, this cannon was ordered by the North on August 26, 1863 and inspected by the ordinance officer, Thomas J. Rodman. The barrel weighs 1220 lbs. and the evidence is that the bore size changed little indicating little use.

The cannon are on the grounds of historic Fort Steilacoom in a small covered area near the eastern entrance.
