The oldest historical records concerning Chyše date back to the second half of the 12th century. Seeing the castle is divided into two circuits; also the castle park is worth visiting. The castle complex also includes the manorial brewery which was built in the years of 1839-1841.

Puvodne renesancní zámek Mikuláše z Lobkovic, vystavený na míste gotického hradu, prestavený barokne r. 1708 zrejme F.M. Kankou. Výrazne prestaven novogoticky (s italskými vlivy) I. Ullmannem za Prokopa III. Lažanského. V soucasnosti postupne rekonstruován.
