It is one of the most important natural phenomena of the Silická Plateau in the Slovak Karst. It is located 2 km westerly from the Silica village. This corrosive-collapse abyss is at elevation of 503 m. It is about 110 m deep, formed in the Mesozoic Middle Triassic pale Wetterstein limestones of the Silica Nappe.
