Elephant Rock is a sea stack on the north west corner of Hestan Island, in Auchencairn Bay, between Kirkcudbright and Dumfries, Scotland, UK. Looks like an elephant from both sides.

Over the years tidal erosion has weathered these layers of rock to develop this animal like formation. You may need a boat to see it at its best. Or wait until equinox tides as the causeway (Rack) is covered nearly all the time.

When I visited seagulls were still nesting, with some chicks scurrying about.
