A joke by blue plaque agency: the plaque at Saltmarket in Glasgow commemorates children's writer Enid Blyton, who never lived there.

Enid Blyton (1897 - 1968) was an English writer, best known for her children's adventure stories. Her best known works are The Famous Five and The Secret Seven series.

She was born in East Dulwich and lived in Chessington (a regular blue plaque was installed on her former home there). There seems to be no connection to Glasgow in her life.
