Kate" is an old engine built in England in 1889 and used for timber hauling in the Margaret River area from 1890 until 1909. In 1917 "Kate" was shipped to Wyndham where she worked on the shipping jetty until the early 1950s . She was later ,in 1964, returned to Margaret River and put on show as a memorial to the pioneers of the district
