Former communist regime in Czechoslovakia building and restoration of St. James routes of course did not support.Czech Republic is moreover unfortunately known with a high degree of atheism.
But currently exists in Czech Republic several civic volunteer associations (Ultreia o.s., Cesta hvezdy, Klub ceských turistu, AgAkcent, Venkovský prostor, Nadace Partnerství) which mark the St. James routes and trails. These associations also do a promotion of St. James pilgrimage in Czech Republic.
In Czech Republic exists an extremely dense and well-marked network of hiking trails, which manages the Czech Tourist Club. The organization as Ultreia o.s. and Cesta hvezdy made agreements with Czech Tourist Club and currently extend a common tourist signposts and indicators with St. James Information Markers where the tourist trails coincide with the St. James routes.
The main routes lead from northern Bohemia via Prague and Plzen to Germany and Moravian branch, which enters from Poland to the Czech Republic leading through Olomouc and Brno to Austria.
This way marker is located in center of small town Zbraslav and shows the direction to the next stops in Radotin and Vonoklasy
