Die Kirche in Liebenscheid geht auf eine Kapelle zurück die 1452 von Graf Heinrich III. gebaut wurde. Um 1755 wurde die baufällige Kapelle abgerissen und eine Kirche gebaut, die 1766 eröffnet
wurde. Der Bau aus Westerwälder Basalt ist ein kurzer Saalbau mit Mansardendach und einem Haubendachreiter. Beachtenswert sind die Spiegeldecke und die Orgel direkt über der Kanzel. Entworfen ist sie als typische protestantische Predigerkirche. 1836 bekam der Bau einen neuen Glockenturm, auf dessen Spitze das Kreuz mit einem Engel versehen ist.
