This monument lists all Armed forces personel from Clinton County that were Killed or Missing in Action during the Vietnam War.

One of the names is Robert Charles O'Hara from Grand Mound. SP5 O'Hara served in the Army with the 282nd Aviation Co.

While on a resupply mission, the aircraft went down in bad weather on February 6, 1969. He and his fellow crewmen were not found. Unofficial reports came in that some of them were POWs in N. Vietnam.

On August 27, 1996 remains were turned over from S. Vietnam. In 2000, the remains were identified as those of SP5 O'Hara.
