Above the plaque is a six pointed star with the words "Burma Star Assoc" beneath it. There's also a Burma Star Association Memorial Bench located nearby.
This memorial was placed by The Burma Star Association August 15, 1995 and includes their star as it appears in the Burma Star medals.
Upon the memorial is the famous Kohima Epitaph.
The inscriptions read :
Center - "BURMA STAR ASSOC, "When you go home tell them of us and say for your tomorrow we gave our today", THROUGH THIS STONE WE TOUCH THE SOULS OF THOSE WHO DIED FOR OUR FREEDOM"
Left - "DEDICATED TO THE MEMORY OF THOSE WHO SERVED IN THE FAR EAST AND PACIFIC THEATRES OF WAR, 1941 - 1945"
Right - "ERECTED BY EASTERN ONTARIO BRANCH THE BURMA STAR ASSOCIATION, 15 AUGUST 1995"
