This reconstructed pillory is on display in the court of the outer castle of Rötteln Castle.

Rötteln is the third largest castle ruin in Baden and an important landmark of Lörrach. It was built in the 11th century and destroyed in 1678. Preservation efforts started as early as the 1840s.

The outer castle, where the pillory is located can be accessed free of charge. For the upper castle there's a fee of 2 €.
