D-Day Landing in a Higgins Landing Craft


Raising the Flag at Iwo Jima


These 2 murals are painted on a warehouse owned by the National World War II Museum (located across the street). The murals were painted by local prisoners as part of the Orleans Parish Prison Art Program instituted by former Sheriff Charles Foti. The program has murals located throughout the New Orleans area.

This warehouse will eventually be torn down to make way for the museum's planned expansion, a project which will incorporate another two full city blocks.
