Lindenberg soll im Maritim Hotel mehrere seiner berühmten Songs komponiert haben, wie z.B. "Hinter'm Horizont". Außerhalb der Saison bereitet er sich mit seiner Band im Maritim Hotel auf Konzerte vor.
Im April 2012 enthüllte er dort am Strand hinter dem Hotel seine eigene Statue, die jederzeit besichtigt werden kann:
