This is a former administrative building in Brugg, that was a subject territory of Bern from 1415 until 1798. It was the seat of the secretary of the Bernese governor and was built in 1605/1608.
According to the historical marker at the building the coats of arms ore the ones of the councilmen responsible for the construction; their names were Stürler, Sager and Ougsburger, but it does not state which belongs to what name.
