This lighthouse sits in the middle of rolling hills. It has been recently built. It sits 950 feet above sea level. The Mississippi River, 20 miles west, has a local elevation of around 600 feet.
Go 6 miles south of Freeport, Illinois on Hwy 26, then 2 miles east on Montague Rd to the small town of Baileville. Go north 1 mile on Baileville Rd.
