Es handelt sich um einen von 95 Hochbunkern aus der näheren Umgebung, welche in der Zeit von 1935 -1945 als Marinesperrwaffenarsenal genutzt wurden.
Seit 1996 besteht hier ein kleines Museum zur Geschichte des Ortes.

This is one of the 95 overhead hoppers from the neighborhood, which were used in the period of 1935 -1945 as a naval arsenal barrier.
Since 1996 there is a small museum on the history of the place.
Theme:
Fotografien, Lagepläne und alte Zeitungsausschnitte erzählen von der militärischen Nutzung des Geländes hin zur Flüchtlingssiedlung bis zur Gründung der Gemeinde Trappenkamp 1956.
Den praktischen Erfindergeist der Menschen zeigen eine zum Stuhl umfunktionierte Munitionskiste, Kleider aus blau-weißen Küchentextilien und aus dem Gewebe eines alten Feuerwehrschlauches geknüpfte Gardinen.
