The two sphinxes and a bust of George Wymberly Jones DeRenne were added to his grave site in 2013. The sphinxes are located on either side of the bust.

"Born George Frederick Tilghman Jones, George Wimberly Jones De Renne (1766 – 1838) legally changed his surname to avoid a long-standing problem of receiving letters meant for his Jones relations (and vice versa). Distinguished as a bibliophile and historian, he accumulated a significant library reflecting this scholarly tastes and varied interests. Like his father and grandfather, De Renne was originally buried in Colonial Park and later moved to Bonaventure."
