Fernet Branca is a popular bitter, aromatic spirit. It was invented in Italy in 1845. From 1908 until 2000 the company also operated this distillery in Saint-Louis. In 2004 the building was converted to an art museum.
The building was added to French Historic Monuments list in 1996. The iconic eagle on the roof top was originally created for the 1906 World Fair in Milan and then moved to France and mounted on the new production site.
