Accessible by ferry or sea plane only, this is one of the gems of the National Park system. The pimary year round residents are Moose and Wolves.
This remote island is 45 miles long and nine miles wide at its widest point and has 165 miles of scenic hiking trails and 36 campgrounds for backpackers.
The trail doesn't have a marker for this scenic point, but the stop is well worth it. When we were there last August, the blueberries up the hill were the best we saw on the entire island!
