The millstone came from Henderson's Flour Mill in Marton, which was built in 1864 and demolished in 1971.
A plaque describes it as French Stone with Quartz rock, block inserts.
It is now on display at the well-known DeMolen Windmill in Foxton. This windmill is a full-size copy of a working 17th century dutch windmill, grinding stone to make flour.
