This is an anchor I found in an industrial area of Vellmar, Kassel County. It is on permanent public display in front of what seems to be a warehouse. Since it is displayed together with a ship screw and these two are the only items, there obviously is some kind of nautical reference, but I failed to find any further information, neither on site nor on the internet. Should locals have any additional information about these objects, please contact me and I'll be happy to update the waymark. Street address is 15 Berliner Strasse, D-34246 Vellmar.

Dies ist ein Anker, den ich in einem Gewerbegebiet von Vellmar (Kreis Kassel) entdeckt habe. Er ist zusammen mit einer Schiffsschraube vor einer Lager- oder Montagehalle öffentlich zugänglich ausgestellt. Dies sind die einzigen beiden Objekte dort, es gibt also offensichtlich irgendeinen Bezug zur Schifffahrt, aber ich konnte weder vor Ort noch im Internet nähere Informationen finden. Sollte jemand von den Einheimischen genaueres wissen, würde ich mich über Nachricht freuen, damit ich den Waymark entsprechend ergänzen kann.
