Historic Albany Foundation’s on-going mission is to preserve Albany’s rich architectural legacy. Historic Albany Foundation gives annual awards for projects, individuals or groups that demonstrate excellence and a commitment to proper preservation techniques and initiatives. All Preservation Merit Awardees have acted as examples of best practices for preservation in Albany. These two Preservation Merit Awards, therefore, represent specific projects to preserve and rehabilitate this building. The Historic Albany Foundation does not maintain information on past awards beyond the last couple of years, so I am unable to determine what presevation specifically earned these citations.
