The ornate central dome of the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque in Muscat Oman rises 50 m above the floor; a 14 m tall Swarovski crystal chandelier with gold-plated metalwork hangs down from its center.

The Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque is the main Mosque in the Sultanate of Oman. Its central dome rises 50 meters above the floor.
The inside of the dome comprises of a series of ornate, engraved stained glass triangles within a framework of marble columns, and a Swarovski crystal chandelier with gold-plated metalwork hanging down from its center measuring 14 meters tall.

However, please adhere STRICTLY to the following rules and respect the sanctity of this place during your visit:
(1) Men should wear suitable clothes that are not short and meet the sanctity of the mosque while women should wear clothes that cover their bodies from head to toe.
(2) The visit to be confined to the main prayer hall for men and in the zone specified by the mosque’s administration.
(3) Children under 10 not allowed to the prayer halls.
(4) Cell phones and GPSr's should be switched off before entering the prayer halls.
(5) Any action that violates the teachings of the Sharia is prohibited in order to preserve the sanctity of the mosque.
