This bear statue is close to the MAJORSTUEN train station in Oslo.

Located atop a pillar which appears to be part of a former fountain, this bear is about the size of a cub and stands on a ball the way one might see in a circus. The fountain has four goat heads below the bear scultpure. There is no sign at the location to give additional information other than an engraving to indicate that it was built by the Oslo City Sciety with help from the Collett Endowment.
