St Luke's is surrounded by fields, with one house next door. A truly rural setting in the Crake Valley in Cumbria.

At present old section of graveyard is unkempt, grass has not been cut, and is showing over the wall. Whereas graveyard with more recent use, is neat with short grass. Fresh headstones. Visit Link

Services are on a rotation with other churches in parish of Egton-cum-Newland, to the south.

'The church, built of local rubble and possessing a tower, is an 1844/45 rebuilding of an 1818 one. Records indicate a chapel existed at the same spot prior to 1577.' from Visit Link
