2006 marks the 30th year of the National Air and Space Museum on the National Mall. During that time, it has become the most-visited museum in the world, and a must-see for visitors to Washington, D.C. Adults and children alike enjoy seeing the impressive collection of aircraft that tells the story of flight from the earliest days of balloon flight, to the sand of Kitty Hawk, to our current explorations in space.

Some of what you'll find inside - the Wright Brothers' original Wright Flyer; Charles Lindbergh's The Spirit of St. Louis; Amelia Earhart's Vega; and Chuck Yeager's Bell XS-1 which he used to break the sound barrier. Museum also includes an IMAX theater and the Albert Einstein Planetarium.
