På Skovbakken i Randers findes dette frihedsmonument af Anker Hoffmann. Det er rejst i 1949 for at ære de frihedskæmpere fra Randers Amt der døde under krigen. Monumentet forestiller en kvinde klædt i kjole, der står med den ene fod på en knækket marterpæl (et torturinstrument). Kjolen er samlet om en bunke blomsterblade. Teksten på monumentet lyder: "Heltehjerte heltehaand - jydsk af sind og dansk af aand - frihedskampens lov I lød jeres daad er ikke død" 1940-1945.
At Skovbakken, a public park area, this freedom memorial by the artist Anker Hoffmann is located. It was set up in 1949 to honour the freedom fighters from Randers County who died during World War 2. The statue represents a woman in a dress standing with her fot on a broken stake (used for torture). In her dress she carries some flower leaves. The text on the monument says: Hero heart hero hand - Jutlandic by mind and Danish by spirit -You answered the law of struggle for freedom - Your deed is not dead" 1940-1945.
