A beautiful location, and adjacent to the "Shaw Foundation Symphony Stage", in the beautiful grounds of the Singaporean Botanical Gardens. A life-sized, what looks to be, bronze statue of the composer, at the keyboard, an (female) admirer gazing on. His attire, the formal wear of his day. At the base of the statue is a plaque with some biographical information, and a brief account of the history of the statue itself.

Chopin lead a short, but complete life. Born a musical child prodigy, he studied music and began his career in Warsaw, but departed Poland in 1830, due to political unrest, and spent the remainder of his life in Paris. Here, he taught music and gave performances. He is noted for major advances and innovations in the field of music. He is regarded as the greatest of Romantic composers.
