This bell is located at "The Jewel Box", which is a restaurant, jewellery store, bar, complex, thing (another place to spend money in Sing city), on the southern end of the island, on Mt Faber, near Sentosa Island. At the northern end of the outdoor (classy) bar area is this bell, and it has a history. Crafted in 1909 it was the ship's bell for the Norwegian training vessel "Dar Pomorza". The bell was then donated to Sentosa Island in 1992. Between then and now it was moved to this spot.
The bell is ~50 cm tall, and it is a solid looking bell. The ship's name is engraved across the bell. One rings the bell by swinging the striker. It is a popular bell to ring. When I visited a Chinese kid kept whacking the bell, and then a newly married Russian couple got their whack in. Ringing the bell brings good luck to married people, apparently. Two information signs (in gallery).
