Das Wehr wurde Anfang des 19. Jahrhunderts angelegt. Es ist nach dem Halbedelstein Chrysopras benannt. Es besteht aus gewaltigen Schieferblöcken.

The weir was created at the beginning of the 19th Century. It is named after the semiprecious stone Chrysoprase. It consists of slate blocks.
