The parish youth section of the Bielefeld Lutheran Dietrich-Bonhoeffer Church has a climbing wall mounted to the church steeple. It was opened in March 2005, is about 20 to 25 meters high and offers six different routes, ranging in difficulty from levels IV to VIII. Combination of the routes allows for 14 different ways to reach the top. Climbing hours are by appointment, contact address is given in linked website.

Die Evangelische Jugend Bielefeld (Nachbarschaft 06) der Dietrich-Bonhoeffer Gemeinde hat am Kirchturm der Matthäuskirche eine ca. 20 bis 25 Meter hohe Kletterwand installieren lassen. Die Kletterwand wurde im März 2005 eröffnet und bietet sechs unterschiedliche Routen von Schwierigkeitsgrad IV bis VIII. Durch Kombination der Routen ergeben sich 14 verschiedene Strecken für den Weg nach oben. Klettermöglichkeit nach Vereinbarung, eine Kontaktadresse ist in der verlinkten Website genannt.
