This carving of The Face is set in what is left of a tree that stands about 8 feet tall. All that is left of the tree is the trunk. The face appears to have been carved a while ago and has been weathered. It is near the south end of Kaivopuisto Park, just off the path that runs between the Observatory near the top of the hill and the memorial to Adolf Erik Nordenskiöldin, closer to the road named Ehrenströmintie. The Kaivopuisto Park borders the coast line southeast of the Helsinki city center.
