In the 19th and 20th century, the Kisker textile factory had various production sites scattered all over the town. This is the downtown site in the Bielefeld Altstadt, where the main administration, storage and part of the production was done. It is an ensemble of several buildings located between Ritterstrasse and Oberntorwall, with Mauerstrasse running right through it in the middle. Both parts of the ensemble were (and are) connected by a bridged passway spanning Mauerstrasse, which got its own waymark for being listed as a construction monument. The buildings were erected in a time span from about 1889 to 1925. After production had come to an end in the 1970s, they were succeedingly converted to offices to rent for other companies, beginning with the administration section at Ritterstrasse, and a recommended restaurant moving into the ground floor of the representative building on the far side, the so-called Kiskerhaus. The former production buildings toward Oberntorwall served different purposes over time (I remember a clothing shop was there for quite a number of years), until they were also renovated and converted to offices in 2011/2012. They are now home to a wide range of businesses, including lawyers, physicians, financial business and service companies.

Die Produktionsstätten der Textilfabrik Kisker waren im 19. und 20. Jahrhundert über das ganze Stadtgebiet verstreut. Hier hegt es um den Standort in der Altstadt, wo Verwaltung, Lager und ein Teil der Produktion untergebracht waren. Die einzelnen Betriebsgebäude wurden zwischen ca. 1889 und 1925 erbaut und liegen zwischen der Ritterstraße und dem Oberntorwall, das Gelände wird von der Mauerstraße durchschnitten. Über diese führt eine Gebäudebrücke hinweg, die die beiden Betriebsbereiche verbindet und die als Baudenkmal noch einmal eigens gewaymarkt ist. Nach Einstellung der Produktion in den 1970er Jahren wurden die Gebäude schrittweise zu Büros umgebaut und an andere Nutzer vermietet, wobei der Verwaltungstrakt an der Ritterstraße den Anfang machte. Ins erdgeschoss des repräsentativen, sogenannten Kiskerhauses im Zwickel zur Mauerstraße zog ein empfehlenswertes Restaurant ein. Das frühere Produktionsgebäude zum Oberntorwall hin diente zunächst verschiedenen Zwecken (Ich kann mich erinnern, dass über etliche Jahre ein Bekleidungsdiscounter drin war), bevor es 2011/2012 ebenfalls gründlich renoviert, zum Bürogebäude umgebaut und an Rechtsanwälte, Arztpraxen und Dienstleistungsunternehmen vermietet wurde.
