St. Jude's Cathedral is likely one of the most uniquely designed Anglican cathedrals anywhere in the world - this igloo-shaped sanctuary was originally opened in 1972. However, arsonists torched the building in November, 2005. It was reopened in 2012.

The original cathedral was adorned with dozens of unique decorations at items of Inuit craftsmanship. These include a cross made from narwhal tusks, wall hangings, woven baskets and a carved soapstone baptismal font dedicated by Queen Elizabeth II when she visited Iqaluit 1970. Items interior design of the new cathedral is unknown to the author. Descriptions from fellow waymarkers would be enjoyable to read.
