This bronze "Bird of Spring" copies an original soapstone carving located at the Glenbow Museum in Calgary, Alberta by Abraham Etungat. The 7 foot replica is located at the Courthouse in downtown Vancouver, British Columbia.

Abraham Etungat (b.1911-d.1999) was an Inuit carver from Cape Dorset, Nunavut Territory, Canada. There are copies of this sculpture in Calgary and Ryerson University.

The original carving is 14 centimetres tall.
