The 25m high flag pole from 1958 was located at the Rhine footpath and pier in 1989. It is the biggest flag pole at the upper part of the Rhine. During the year there are alway some flags, but on local events there are 70 different flags visible. Twice a year there are no flags, but chains of lights instead: in December is a christmas tree shown and in July during the city festival there is pretzel shown.

Der 25m hohe Flaggenmast von 1958 steht hier am Rhein seit 1989. Er ist der größte Flaggenmast am Oberrhein. Eigentlich sind dort immer einige Flaggen zu sehen und zu Feiertagen/Festlichkeiten sogar bis zu 70 Flaggen. Zweimal im Jahr ist er unbeflaggt und zeigt Lichterketten: im Dezember einen Weihnachtsbaum und im Juli zum Stadtfest eine Brezel.
