This Kugel ball is dark granite about a meter in diameter. Many visitors gave it a push to change its rotation. Names of sponsors are engraved on the surface.
Te Papa is an excellent modern museum with great interpretation of the culture, geology, geography, flora, and fauna of New Zealand. One remarkable display was a room that simulated the movements of an earthquake.
