At Dieksiel there are three storm floods marked (blue markers): on 02/16/1962 the storm flood was 4,84m above sea level, on 11/19/1973 4,15m above and on 01/03/1976 4,32m above. After these floods the embankment was increased to 4,5m above sea level (white marker), which has prevented any new flood.
Hier bei Dieksiel sind drei frühere Sturmfluten blau markiert: am 16.02.1962 war die Sturmflut 4,84m über NN, am 19.11.1973 4,15m und am 03.01.1976 4,32m. Danach wurde der Deich auf eine Höhe von 4,5m über NN angehoben, was glücklicherweise bisher weitere Überschwemmungen verhindert hat.
