- Quelle: Wikipedia

"The city is mainly due to their Kegelbauten (Trulli) (singular Trullo) famous that arose frequently modeled after the design of shepherds' huts in the area. In Alberobello there are whole neighborhoods of Trulli.'s Why the city is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, but lost by the tourist influx much of its original charm.

Trulli in Alberobello there are not only themselves, but also in the surrounding areas, but they occur in Alberobello massaged. Trulli are usually round, but built on a rectangular ground plan, whitewashed buildings with conical roofs characteristic limestone plates that are stacked without mortar in the form of a false vault together. This design is similar in some ways the primitive dwellings of mankind, as they are also found in other places around the Mediterranean, as in Sardinia, in the form of nuraghi or in southern France as Bories "- Source:.
